Tokyo is a dream destination for anime lovers. If you want to fully immerse yourself in anime culture while you’re here, doing a cosplay photoshoot in a unique location is one of the best ways to do it. Akihabara is the most famous spot, but there’s also a great studio in Tsukishima that we highly recommend.
Tokyo Cosplay Photoshoot
On April 5, 2025, anime-loving travelers from overseas found our Samurai Studio ICHI in Tokyo!
We had anime costumes displayed on mannequins, and as soon as she walked into the room and saw them – especially the ones from Demon Slayer – her face lit up with excitement.

She wore a Demon Slayer Nezuko costume.
She was incredibly satisfied with the cosplay experience. We did a photo shoot in a traditional Japanese kominka (old house) in Tokyo first, and then, since it was cherry blossom season, we went outside in full cosplay to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
She also wore traditional geta sandals, which she loved, and had a great time taking lots of photos. Seeing her so happy made us happy too!
Cosplay Street Stroll Amid Cherry Blossoms
Cherry blossoms are extremely popular among foreign travelers in Japan.
While not many people know about Tsukishima in Tokyo, it actually has beautiful cherry blossoms. It’s a hidden spot for hanami (cherry blossom viewing)!
We recommend Ishikawajima Park, Tsukuda Park, and Sumiyoshi Shrine in Tsukishima. You can enjoy the beautiful Somei Yoshino blossoms at the end of March every year!
Cosplaying during cherry blossom season is highly recommended in Tokyo. We have Demon Slayer costumes.
