Naoya Inoue vs. David Picasso: Official Samurai Performance by KATANAYA ICHI | THE RING V in Saudi Arabia

We are proud to announce that KATANAYA ICHI delivered the official opening performance for Naoya Inoue’s historic world title match, “THE RING V: NIGHT OF THE SAMURAI,” held on December 27, 2025, in the boxing mecca of Saudi Arabia.

Performing at the Mohammed Abdo Arena, which was broadcast live to over 200 countries via DAZN, we took center stage as the ultimate symbols of the “Samurai” theme.

One of our greatest strengths is our ability to adapt instantly on-site. When the director requested that every sword strike perfectly sync with specific metallic sound effects in the music, we completely reworked our choreography overnight. By the next rehearsal, we delivered a flawless, split-second precision performance that earned deep trust from the international production team.

This high level of performance led to an expanded role on set. Beyond the opening show, we were hand-picked to appear in scenes with DAZN reporters and featured in commercial cuts for the global broadcast. In a massive project featuring multinational dancers and taiko drummers, KATANAYA ICHI led the way as the main act, ensuring the show’s success.

Taking the stage right before Naoya Inoue’s walkout—at the very moment the arena’s energy reached its peak—was a career-defining achievement. The clients gave us the highest praise, not just for our technical skill, but for our “total package” capability in handling tight schedules and a rapidly changing environment. We will continue to bring the fusion of Japanese tradition and modern speed to major stages worldwide.
