I am excited to announce that we appeared on the popular French YouTuber Louis-San’s channel!

French YouTuber Louis-San has over 1.5 million subscribers! That’s insane!

KATANA in Japan: €25 vs €25,000

The video is incredibly engaging, comparing an inexpensive replica sword with a genuine, centuries-old Japanese katana worth millions of yen. It delves into the history and manufacturing truths of the Japanese sword, revealing many fascinating facts that even we, as Japanese, were unaware of.

Tate (sword fighting) action

We, KATANAYA ICHI, performed a Tate (sword fighting) action sequence for this project. Shot in the solemn atmosphere of the shrine, the uploaded footage looks just like a scene from a full-scale historical drama.

We also had the pleasure of teaching Louis-San the basic Tate action. He was exceptionally skilled at handling the sword, and his movements were truly magnificent.

When Louis-San tried his hand at Tameshigiri that day, it started to rain. That rain actually added a great atmosphere and intensity to the video footage

After spending a full day together in Gifu, I was deeply impressed by Louis-San’s sincere approach to video production. He meticulously crafts each piece of content, balancing a wealth of information while structuring it in an entertaining way. It was truly an honor to be involved in the creation of such a wonderful work.

Moving forward, KATANAYA ICHI will continue to spread Japan’s “Samurai Spirit” to the world through stage performances, events, and media appearances.
